The Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper has excellent reviews everywhere I look! On Amazon 753 out of 825 reviewers rated it 4 to 5 stars, with 5 being the best. So in other words, 91% of those that bought the Rock ‘N Play Sleeper, absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone. I wish this would have been around when I brought my daughter home from the hospital. Not only is it smaller and easy to transport around the house, but it would have been perfect for her reflux. I had to position books under her bassinet to elevate her. Plus, the rocking motion would have been a sleep saver for sure.
The Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper is by far the number one most popular newborn soother on the market. Most simply love it, stating that they could not have lived without it, or that it was the “Best Baby Purchase Ever”. Many parents of babies with reflux stated that the Rock ‘N Play Sleeper was the only way they could get their babies to sleep comfortably.
As for negative feedback, I think it should be taken into serious consideration. Quite a few of the reviewers complained that their babies had a hard time transferring to a crib after getting used to being propped up in their Rock ‘N Play. Others also complained that the back was too hard, and they had to put padding underneath to prevent their babies from getting a flat spot on their head. The Boppy Noggin Nest Head Support seemed to be most popular for additional padding. Even with the negatives, most of the reviewers would still recommend the Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper. There were also a couple of reviewers that claimed that it gave their babies neck problems, which might be a possibility if over used. So my only suggestion would be to use it only at night. Make sure you add padding to avoid the flat head issue. There is a newer model called the Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper Deluxe. It offers additional padding, which is definitely a bonus.
Personally, I feel that even with the negative feedback, I will still add the Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper to my wish list for Baby number 2. I will probably add some padding as well, and limit the time that my spends in it.

My daughter slept in the Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play sleeper every night, for every nap, and for much of her waking moments as well for the first month (less tummy time). During the day she was buckled, and at night she was swaddled in a “Swaddle Me” and unbuckled. We continued to use this almost constantly until she was about 2 1/2 months old and 11 lbs. She Was nearly 9 lbs at birth. She had many reflux problems and still spits up a lot with every feeding.
However, starting at 3 weeks old she slept 5-6 hours a night, and at 5 weeks she would sleep 9-12 hours per night. I was actually worried that she slept so much and called the pediatrician: they checked her out and said she was in the 90th percentile for height and weight, and had above average head control and strength. They told me as long as she is putting on weight and healthy there was no reason to wake her up to feed her more. The Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play sleeper was the only place she would sleep besides my arms after breast feeding. Yes, she is exclusively breast fed and sleeps this well. I owe all of our successes to the Rock ‘N Play sleeper combined with swaddling at night.
I recommend this to anyone expecting!

So far, so good …,August 6, 2011

We bought this for our one month-old daughter, who suffers from excessive spitting-up and reflux. Our pediatrician recommended putting her to sleep (or lie down) at a 30-degree angle — especially after feeding — to allow gravity to keep her milk down. This Rock ‘N Play Sleeper is set at the perfect angle for babies with reflux. Now, after I breastfeed and burp our little-one in the middle of the night, I don’t have to worry about her spitting-up and coughing/choking when she’s lying flat on her back in her bassinet. I just pop her in the Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play sleeper (we’re able to use the restraint buckles even when she’s swaddled) with peace-of-mind … and get some much-needed sleep!
So far, our baby girl seems comfortable resting and sleeping in the Fisher Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper. (*KNOCKING ON WOOD*) It doesn’t have any of the bells and whistles of her pack-and-play, electronic swing or bouncy-seat (e.g., mobile, music, etc.), but she seems to enjoy being there nonetheless. Things can change at the drop of a hat with infants, so I’m crossing my fingers and praying that this lasts (LOL)!
