If you’re looking for a Baby Swing that is small and portable, you may be considering the Fisher Price Space Saver Swing. I would like to also suggest the Fisher Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker, which is not exactly a baby swing, but I do believe that it is just as good as a baby swing, if not better. Let’s compare these two baby swing/seats side by side, and see what they have to offer.
The reason I chose to compare these two fisher price swing/seats is because both the space saver swing and the infant-to-toddler rocker are small, and extremely portable. So if you’re looking for something that you can easy throw in the car and take to Grandma’s house, both of these would definitely. Both the Infant-To-Toddler Rocker and the space saver swing offer stationary seats that lock into place, as well as calming vibrations. Both also offer 2 position reclines, deep seats with safety restraints, and hanging toys. Both the Fisher Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker and the Space Saver Swing offer a removable, washable seat pad, and require batteries.
First things first, the Fisher Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker only rocks, it does not swing. It is not powered by a motor, you must gently rock it yourself. The batteries it requires are for the calming vibrations. The Fisher Price Space Saver Swing is completely battery operated, swings on its own, and offers 5 swing speeds, along with 7 songs. So now you might be asking yourself, why would anyone get the manual rocker over the automatic swing? Well, the Space Saver Swing can only be used up to 25 pounds, whereas the Fisher Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker is designed to be used all the way up to 40 pounds. You see, the seat back grows and adjusts with your child, offering 3 infant stages, and 1 toddler stage. Through the infant stages, the toy bar and toys detach, and then can be reattached in other places to give your little one a more hands on experience. As Baby grows the seat adjusts more and more upright, until finally, in the toddler stage, your little one can use the seat as their own personal rocker, and rock themselves.
The Fisher Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker normally lists for $42.99, whereas the Space Saver Swing regularly lists for $74.99. However, currently on Amazon, both are on sale. The Infant-To-Toddler Rocker is currently listed for $35.99, and the Fisher Price Space Saver Swing is listed for $64.99. Both are great deals!
As far as reviews go, the Fisher Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker was definitely the most popular, with 460 out of 549 reviewers rating it 4 to 5 stars, with 5 being the max. In other words, 84% of the reviewers were extremely satisfied. The Fisher Price Space Saver Swing did pretty good, although not near as popular as the rocker, with 32 out of 42 reviewers rating it 4 to 5 stars.
